As you may have heard, The Masciarelli Family Funeral Homes in Westminster, Fitchburg, and Lunenburg have closed.
If you or a loved one had a pre-paid funeral arrangement with the funeral home we are happy to help you and your family navigate your options.
The pre-paid arrangements you have made is still YOURS ! The funeral home to which it was sent does no own your arrangement nor can it be bought or sold.
As one of the longest running , family- owned funeral home in the area, we understand more than most that choosing who handles your arrangements is a deeply important and personal decision- a choice that can only be made by the individual or family, not by default.
When making pre arrangements your payment is put into an irrevocable trust account in a financial institution that is accepted by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Most funeral homes place them into a bank or insurance policy. I am sending out this information because you should know what your options are, weather you choose to leave your arrangement where it has been sent or if you are considering making a change to another funeral home with a simple transfer of the arrangement.
