                                             OBITUARY  NOTICE
Fitchburg:     Robert  A. Major 55 of Fitchburg, MA passed away in U Mass Memorial Healthcare Worcester, MA after a brief illness with cancer.
He was born  December 25, 1962 in Lowell, MA son of Alvin and Dorothy (Spaulding) Major and lived most of his life in Fitchburg. He attended and graduated from Fitchburg High School Class of 1980.
Robert was a senior maintenance manager for  Slade – Gorton in Boston ,MA for the past two years. He attended ITT Technical Institute for Drafting.
He was a member of the Fitchburg Rod & Gun Club and was an all around outdoors man. He enjoyed camping in Salisbury with his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife  of eleven years Ann (Berube) Major , his step-daughter Autumn Couture and her partner Julio Diaz of Fitchburg, MA., his brother Raymond Major of Fitchburg,MA, his sister Louise Hall-Gagne and husband Dennis of Gardiner, Maine, grandchildren, Xabriel and Amaiya, a niece Tenley Hoffman and two great nephews , Adrian and Ryan.
At his request there are no planned funeral services or calling hours.
