                                              Obituary Notice

                       Fitchburg:  Alan R. Deuyour, 69 of Fitchburg passed away peacefully on March 14,2024 in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital surrounded by his family, after a long battle with COPD.

He was born June 24,1954 in Lucy Helen Hospital in Fitchburg, MA He was the son of the late Everett F. and Helen J. (Wilder) Deuyour .  He was raised in Fitchburg and lived here all of his life. Alan proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a SA and was stationed in Guam during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged from active duty in 1975.

Alan  worked for Seaboard Box Co. for 7 years in the 1980’s and then worked for Wachusett Potatoe Chip Co. (now UTZ) for 34 years and retired from there in 2019. Alan was a life member of the Leominster/ Fitchburg Lodge of Elks #1237 for over 30 years .  He is survived by his sisters, Linda M. (Fowler) Saball of Fitchburg, MA and Cheryl E. Reynolds and husband Kenneth of Ashby, MA along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 39 years, Judith A. (Kendall) Deuyour who passed away in 2019, his sister Joanne H. (Fowler) Smith of Connelly Springs, NC, brothers, David of Deland , Florida and Daniel W. Deuyour of Shelton, WA.

Hi services will be held in Massachusetts Veteran’s Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon , MA @ 10 a.m. on Monday, April 1,2024 with Military Honors. All friends and relatives are welcome to attend
