                                             OBITUARY NOTICE

Fitchburg: Antoinette M. “Jenny” (Spagnuolo) Atkinson, 87 of Fitchburg passed away peacefully Friday January 4, 2019 in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital with her family at her side.

She was born May 18, 1931 in Fitchburg, MA, daughter of Antonio and Josephine ( Pandiscio) Spagnuolo and lived all of her life in Fitchburg.  Jenny worked as a stitcher and assembler at the former H. Margolin Co. in the Cleghorn section of Fitchburg for several years.

Jenny loved to spend her time with her grandsons Kirk and Nicholas , she enjoyed playing cards , going to Bingo, and taking trips to Maine with her son Brian, who was her main caregiver. She was an avid Red Sox Fan for many years.

She was a member of St. Anthony De Padua Church  in Fitchburg. Her family would like to give special thank’s to Melissa , Lisa , and Renee of the Health Alliance nursing  staff for their compassionate and professional care of Jenny.

She is survived by her three sons, Mark A. Atkinson and wife Barbara of Fitchburg, MA, Barry A. Atkinson and Brian A. Atkinson with whom she lived, two grandsons Kirk and Nicholas Atkinson and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Donald C. Atkinson Sr.  in 1988 and her son Donald C. Atkinson Jr. in 2002, brothers, Constantino “Dino”, Antoinio, Joseph and her sister Mary C. Cormier

At the request of her family ,a celebration of her life will be held at a later date to be announced. There are no calling hours or funeral services at this time.
