OBITUARY NOTICE : Doris C. (Landry) Melanson 89 of Fitchburg, MA. passed away peacefully Friday May 26,2017 in Life Care of Leominster with her family at her side.
She was born August 31, 1927 in Cape Bald, N.B. Canada, the daughter of William and Leoni (Leger) Landry. She was raised in Canada and came to live in Fitchburg, MA. in the 1950’s.
Doris was a stay at home mom and most enjoyed taking care of her daughters’.
She was a communicant of St. Camillus De Lellis Church
She is survived by her two daughter’s, Cora and husband Robert Lamy of Fitchburg, MA. and Annette and husband David Pezzolesi of Ashburnham, MA., one sister Violette Ouellette of Moncton, N.B. Canada along with many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Albert Melanson in 1983, brothers Aldoria, twin brother Larry, Edward, and William Landry, and sister’s Augusta, Margaret, Laura, and Lorrine.
Her funeral will be held on Wdnesday May 31,2017 with a Mass at 11a.m. in St. Bernard Parish @St. Camillus De Lellis Church 333 Mechanic St. Fitchburg, Interment will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Wednesday morning at the funeral home from 9:30 until 10:30a.m.. All are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA. 01701.
