It is with deep sadness that the family of K. Eileen Carroll announces her passing on September 11, 2017.
Eileen had lived a full and accomplished life of 98 years!
Born April 26 1919 to Timothy and Nora McCarthy, Eileen spent her whole life in Fitchburg, MA and is remembered for her love of family and friends. She and her husband, John Patrick, (1999) with whom she was a devoted wife of 59 years took great pride in guiding and educating their children. Eileen loved crossword puzzles and rarely missed a day of watching Jeopardy. She loved family gatherings, especially The Carroll Family Christmas Party!
She is the loving mother of Dr John (Chris) of Toledo, Ohio. William (Jayne) of Phoenix, AZ. Katharine White of Osterville, MA. Charles of Osterville, MA. Margaret Copplestone (David) of Wellesley, MA. Patricia Vyas (Dr Anil) of Osterville, MA. Eileen Martel of Osterville MA. Thomas (Mary) of Andover, MA.
Noreen Rogers (John) of Marblehead, MA.
She leaves 18 Grandchildren, John, Patrick, Katie, Mike, Fair, Caitlin, Kristin, Megan, Shannon, Molly, Hannah, Sarah, Courtney, Nora, Bridget, Andrew, Lizzy, Sean.
Great Grandmother of Mason, Sammy, Delaney Eileen, Scarlett Eileen, Dolan Patrick, John Francis.
She leaves nieces Margaret Morris, Joan McCarthy and dear friend Elayne Spooner. She was predeceased by sister Marion Morris, brothers Charles (Chick) and Johnny.
If the success of a person's life can be judged by the impact she has made on others, Eileen reached out to many; touching them with her generosity, sense of humor, tenacity and by positive example. She will live on through all of us who have been fortunate to have known her, and especially through those who were close enough to have loved her and been loved by her.
We are especially grateful for the help she received from Catholic Charities, Elizabeth Seton and neighbors Mariette and Bill Reilly and Deb Visco.
Services will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption 76 Wianno Avenue Osterville MA. Wake at 10 AM followed by funeral mass at 11 AM on September 21, 2017.The Lavery Chartrand Alario Funeral Home 99 Summer St. Fitchburg, MA. is directing. Michael S. Alario Owner - Director
