OBITUARY NOTICE
Fitchburg: Lee H. Jackman, 73 of Fitchburg, MA passed away peacefully Wednesday January 17,2018 at The Highlands with his loving family by his side.
He was born April 22, 1944 in Amesbury, MAson of Leon and Florence (Hargraves) Jackman. He was raised and lived in Fitchburg. He graduated from Fitchburg High School Class of 1962 and attended the University of Massachusetts - Lowell.
Lee worked over 50 years as a mold maker in the tool &die industry. He worked the majority of his career at New England Mold and NYPRO, retiring several years ago.
Lee loved traveling, and he and his late wife Susan traveled all over the world. He was a hiker, having hiked Mount Washington several times. Lee, also known lovingly as Bubba to his grandchildren, was a true family man. Lee loved spending time with his family whether at their permanent campsite in Maine or down at Disney World. He had a big heart and a love of life and family.
He is survived by his four children, Cynthia Jackman Clark and husband Thomas of Fitchburg, MA, Stephanie Jackman–Havey and husband Thomas of Leominster, MA,Leon W. “Jack” Jackman II and wife Rebecca of Fitchburg, MA, Christine Posco-Mattson and husband Mark of Fitchburg, MA, his sister Linda Gaetz of Fitchburg, MA, his brother Lance Jackman of Albuquerque, New Mexico, five grandchildren, Samantha, Courtney, Spenser, Connor, and Joseph, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Susan (Dower) Jackman in 2017.
His funeral will be held on Saturday January 27,2018 with a service at 11 A.M. in The LaveryChartrand  Alario Funeral Home 99 Summer St., Fitchburg, MA and all are welcome to attend. There are no calling hours. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Highlands Third Floor Staff for all the care they providedto Lee during his stay there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lee’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association , Massachusetts Chapter, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA. 02472 or to The Highlands Alzheimer’s Unit, 335 Nichols Road, Fitchburg, MA.
