                                             OBITUARY  NOTICE

 

Sun City , Florida:  Mary Eva (Taylor) Joseph, 102 passed away peacefully December 20,2018 in Sun City Hospice Center.

She was born June 4, 1916 in Fitchburg, MA , daughter of James and Eva (Pinard ) Taylor and lived in Fitchburg, MA most of her life before moving to Florida  in 2008 to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She was the last remaining graduate of St. Bernard’s Central Catholic High School Class of 1935.

 Mary worked for forty years for DeJong and Weyerhauser Paper Co. in Fitchburg, MA retiring many years ago. She enjoyed knitting, crewel work, leather craft, long shade making, going to bingo and playing cards. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Church.

She is survived by her daughter with whom she lived Cynthia A. and her husband Arthur MacKenzie  and her son Charles J. Joseph and wife Denise. , her grandchildren, Scott Joseph, Kimberly Stresing, and Keith Fischer, great grandchildren, Allyson, Colton and Quinn Joseph ,  Emma and Peter Fischer , and Jude Stresing several nephews and nieces, her sister  Lillian Robertson of Lunenburg, MA Her husband Ferris L. Joseph passed away in 1972 and her sisters Grace Belliveau, Dorothy Chemello, and Virginia Guazzo

Her funeral will be held on Saturday January 5,2019 with a service at 10a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. A calling hour prior to the service will be from 8:45a.m. until 9:45a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund, Danafarber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place,West Fl 6, Brookline, MA 02445-9924
