OBITUARY NOTICE :   Fitchburg:  Patricia A. (Philbin) Assimakopoulos, 79 of Fitchburg, MA. passed away peacefully Saturday November 5,2016 in the                    
Highlands, with all of her family at her side.
She was born November 29, 1936 in Leominster, MA. daughter of Ralph and Eva (Roy) Philbin. She attended and graduated from Leominster High School Class of 1954.
Pat along with her husband “Tyke” owned and operated the Cleghorn House of Pizza  until 1978. She also had worked  for the former Asher Pants in Fitchburg, MA.
Pat  enjoyed her trips to Nantasket Beach and spending  time with  the “Friday Night Girls”. She also had spent many years wintering in Florida. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Caring for her husband and children is what meant the most to her. Pat always put her family first. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Charles “Tyke” Assimakopoulos, her children, John C. Assimakopoulos of Aventura , Florida,  James D. Assimakopoulos of Fitchburg, MA. and Lisa MacAloney and husband Thomas of Fitchburg, MA., grandchildren Kayla ,Niko, Daniel, Sarah, Brandon and Cayla Crank and one great granddaughter Emma. She also leaves several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ralph and James Phibin.
Calling hours for Pat will be held Thursday  at the funeral home from 4 until 7p.m.. A funeral home service will folllowThursday evening at the conclusion of the calling hours. All other funeral services will be private at her request.
