OBITUARY NOTICE : Rita B. (Leblanc) Biron 83 of Leominster, MA. passed away peacefully Sunday September 3, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Rita was born May 19, 1934 the daughter of Willie and Alexina ( St. Pierre) Leblanc and lived in Fitchburg and Leominster, MA. all of her life.
Rita worked as a cook at Fitchburg State University for many years, before her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and was an active member and volunteer for their church bazaar for over thirty years.
Rita’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, and watching the birds in her backyard. She loved baseball, dancing, the holidays especially Halloween and Christmas
She is survived by her children, Catherine H. Reynolds and husband Scott , and Douglas M. Biron both living in Leominster, MA., her grandchildren, Nicole Bilotta and husband Anthony of Friendswood Texas, Ross Reynolds and Brett Biron both of Leominster, MA., and several nieces and nephews. Her husband of 42 years Arthur “Ray” Biron passed away in 1994.She was also predeceased by two brothers, Roger and Edmund and four sisters, Yvette, Loretta, Claire, and Jeanne
Her funeral will be held on Thursday September 7, 2017 with a Mass at 1p.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church 1400 Main St. Leominster, MA.
Burial will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Fitchburg, MA. Calling hours are Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home . In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association Massachusetts / New Hampshire Chapter, 480 Pleasant St. , Watertown, MA. 02472.
