                                             OBITUARY  NOTICE

Lunenburg :  Scott P. Rivers 56, of Lunenburg, MA passed away peacefully in U Mass Memorial Hospital ,University Campus, Worcester, MA on Monday September 9,2019 due to complications from kidney failure. His loving family was at his side.

He was born February 4, 1963 in Fitchburg, MA ,son of the late Philip and Carol (Melanson) Rivers. He was raised in Fitchburg and lived there until moving to Lunenburg.

Scott was well known for his long time role and dedication at Surfside Pools, and his ownership of Budget Storage. Scott and his wife Lori were inseparable for the last 33 years of their marriage, and enjoyed spending  their time together at their home in Florida. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and his deep love for his family. We will all miss his infectious smile and laughter he brought to our lives.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years Lori A. (Condon) Rivers, his son Justin Rivers of Fitchburg, MA, daughter Lindsey Rivers of Fitchburg, MA, brothers, Mark and wife Josephine Rivers of Fitchburg, MA, Todd and wife Pamela of Lunenburg, MA, Gregory and wife Mary Rivers of Lunenburg, MA,his mother and father in-law, Henry and Helen Condon of Fitchburg, MA his several brother and sister in-law’s, several nieces , nephews, aunts ,uncles, and cousins and many friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Carol Rivers and his brother Timothy Rivers.

A Private family memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019. Following the service ,relatives and friends are invited to join his family for a celebration of his life to be held at Slattery’s Restaurant, 106 Lunenburg St., Fitchburg MA @ 12p.m.  . There are no calling hours.
