                                             OBITUARY  NOTICE

Fitchburg:     Steven  J. Doucette 54 of Fitchburg passed away April 29,2018 in Massachusetts General Hospital  with his family at his side.

He was born December 3, 1963 in Leominster, MA son of the Mederic Doucette and Cecile (Richard) Doucette.  He lived in Fitchburg all of his life and was a graduate of Fitchburg High School Class of 1981. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served honorably  until 1985 when discharged.

 Steven worked as a driver for S & S Lobster in Fitchburg for over twenty-five years. He was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed playing cards especially Texas Hold’em, and fishing.  He had a heart of gold and was always the life of the party. One of his favorite sayings was “Let the sunshine baby”.

 He is survived by his wife Lisette ( Michel) Doucette , one son Christopher Doucette of Fitchburg ,two daughters, Alicia Doucette of Athol, MA and Stephanie Doucette of Westminster, MA  his mother Cecile Doucette of Fitchburg, MA, brothers Francis, Frenette and Stanley Doucette, sisters Elizabeth “Betty” Goguen, Bernice MacKenzie, Susan Chapman, Sandra Bisson and Shirley Mughnaw He also leaves many aunts, uncles, nephews , nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Gelas Doucette.

His funeral will be held on Friday May 11, 2018 with a Mass @ 10a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church 49 Woodland St. Fitchburg. All friends and relatives are welcome to attend. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Fitchburg. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
