                                              Obituary Notice

      Leominster: Albert L. Powell 76, of Leominster, MA passed away on Tuesday, May 4,2023 after an extended illness.

Al was born in Cross City, Florida the son of LulaMae (Goodson) and Thomas Ray Powell.

Al was an artistic and eccentric man. He could build and fix anything in the home that he shared with his wife and sons for many years. Al loved nature and wildlife. He cared for and nurtured a partially paralyzed baby squirrel for 3 years. He cared for and released a number of injured wildlife critters that passed through his life.

Al was also a truly gifted pool player. Some of Al’s happiest times were spent as a long distance trucker driving through many of the southern states. In later years, he worked in maintenance for the Lipton Center in Fitchburg, MA and Leominster, MA.

Al is survived by his wife Donna L Buono and sons, Dylan and Scott. He also leaves behind 2 daughters, Melinda of Georgia ,and Sharlet of Alabama. He had a great love for them. Al has many extended family members living throughout the south who are mourning his loss. He loved them all.

He was predeceased by his daughter Judy and his dog Milo.

The Lavery Chartrand Alario Funeral Home  is assisting his family with final arrangements. There are no planned services at this time. A celebration of his life may be held at a later date to be announced.
