Barbara Anne Heinle passed away after a long battle with illness on May 21,2023 surrounded by her family. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She was born to the late Milton and Marcelle Heinle in Fitchburg, MA on 2/2/1962. After graduating from Leominster high school in 1980, Barbara settled in Leominster where she went on to serve as the General Manager for Denny’s Restaurant for several years prior to illness forcing her retirement.
Barbara was a workhorse, always making sure she put in long hours to provide for her family and was the person everyone often went to when they needed that extra voice of reason. While she didn’t always say the words you wanted to hear, she never shied away from telling you what you needed to hear. She was a mom to two, but a voice of reason to many.
During her retirement, Barbara especially enjoyed time with her grandsons Camden, and Dominic, as well as watching Soap Operas, battling with Juan that the Red Sox were better than the Yankees, and enjoying family time, especially her weekly Facebook count downs to Christmas.
She is survived by her husband Juan Gonzalez of Leominster, her daughter Toni-Marie Vieira and her husband Matt of Lowell, her son John Gonzalez and his companion Kassandra of Gardner, and her pride-and-joys, her grandsons Camden and Dominic. Barbara also leaves behind her brothers Robert Heinle and his companion Shelia of Fitchburg, MA, and Richard Heinle and wife, June Heinle of Long Valley, NJ. In addition to her loving family, Barbara leaves behind her canine companions, Ace, and Tyson.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Milton and Marcelle, her brothers Phillip,Milton, and Edward Heinle.
Family and friends are invited to join Barbara’s family as they remember her life on Friday June 9, 2023, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at Lavery Chartrand Alario Funeral Home 99 Summer St. Fitchburg, Ma. Interment will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery. All are welcome to attend.
