Barbara I (Magane) Lanteinge

Barbara I. (Magane) Lanteinge, 97 of Leominster, MA and formerly of Fitchburg, MA passed away peacefully on May 7,2026 in UMass Medical Center, Worcester, MA

Barb was born in Leominster, MA on October 10,1928 daughter of William and Madeline (Doolan) Magane.

Barb had worked at the former New England Telephone as a lines manager for over 40 years before retiring .

She and her husband Leon loved travelling the world. She enjoyed gardening,especially her Tiger Lillies. Barb,along with her husband Leon, enjoyed bowling at Putnam Lanes, golfing, Square Dancing, and entertaining at their home.

Her husband of 60 years, Leon predeceased her in 2015,

She is survived by her beloved brother, Michael Magane and his wife Karen Franklin, her nieces, Marci Magane, of Leominster, MA, Melissa Magane, Briana Bizzotto and Pamela Christian- Ridings all of Fitchburg, MA Debra Bergeron of Leominster, MA,  Ashley Girouard of Westminster, MA, Isabella Magane of Gainesville, Florida and Nicole Bergeron of New Salem, MA, her nephews, Juleon Barry of Clinton, MA, Allan and Brad Magane of Gardner,MA and Ryan Christian all of Gardner, MA, LIam Magane of Gainesville, Florida, Russell "Rusty" Magane of Otis,MA and Christian Franklin of Fitchburg, MA

She was predeceased by her brothers, William and Russell Magane both of Fitchburg, MA, her nephews, Timothy Magane of Otis, MA, Sean Magane of Lunenburg, MA and Leon Magane of Worcester, MA

Her funeral will be held on Thursday,May 14,2026 with a Mass at 12:30 p.m. in St. Bernard Parish @ St. Camillus de Lellis Church, 333 Mechanic St. Fitchburg, MA. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.

A calling hour will be held on thursday morning at the funeral home from 10:30 until 12 noon. All are welcome to attend.
