Cecile M. (Caissey) Landry

Cecile M. (Caissey) Landry, 96, of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025. 

She was born in Fitchburg, MA on April 8, 1928 to the late Arthur and Marguerite (Ouellette) Caissey.

Cecile was known as a kind and loving person to anyone she met.  She was a hard-working woman who enjoyed playing bingo, making puzzles, and keeping busy in her yard.   She was an excellent baker and was known for her pastries and pies.  Cecile was employed at Hedstrom Union, Seth Thomas, and Tuckers, retiring at the age of 67.  She was a lifetime parishioner of St Joseph Church, Fitchburg.  She was involved with the Ladies of St Anne and a devoted volunteer at the Clothes Closet.

Cecile leaves behind her son Robert and his wife Donna Landry of Fitchburg; grandchildren Justin Landry and his wife Jessica of Fitchburg; Jessica Johnson and her husband Eric of Sterling; four great-grandchildren, Michael and Cora Landry; and Natalie and Sarah Johnson.   She was predeceased by her husband Omer Landry, in 2010.  Her parents had 14 children with her and her twin sister being the youngest siblings.

The family would like to thank the Life Care Center of Leominster, for the care they provided to Cecile.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 3,2025 @ 11a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church 49 Woodland St. Fitchburg, MA.  Interment will follow in Massachusetts Memorial Veteran’s Cemetery,111 Glenallen St. Winchendon, MA at 1p.m.

A calling hour will be held on Monday , March 3,2025 at the funeral home from 9a.m. until 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
