Claire D. Ledoux (née Caron), 92, of 29 Merriam Parkway, Fitchburg, Massachusetts, passed peacefully at UMASS Memorial Medical Center - University Campus on Saturday, July 13, following a brief illness.
She was born on September 9, 1931, the middle of three children. Known as Memere to those who loved her, she enjoyed bingo at the Sundial, her weekly phone calls with her son, meeting her friends for dinner, and challenging her grandchildren to a good, old fashioned game of Uno.
In her younger years, she loved skiing, going to the beach, and planning fun activities for her grandchildren, particularly sleepovers, playground visits, and appreciating nature at Crow Hill.
Claire is predeceased by her beloved husband, Armand, her parents, Albert and Cecilia, her sister, Denise, and her brother, Maurice. She leaves behind her son, Christopher, and his wife, Jane, of Naples, Florida; her grandchildren, Jacqueline, Noelle, and George; and her great-grandchildren, Lorelai, Eden, and Brettlee.
Her family would like to express their gratitude to her medical team at UMASS Memorial for allowing her to pass with comfort and dignity.
Ledoux - The funeral will be held at St. Camillus de Lellis Church at 333 Mechanic St. in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, on Saturday, August 10 at 10:00 am. All relatives and friends are welcome to attend. A Private burial will follow.
