Obituary
Fitchburg: David L. Stinson, 63 of Fitchburg, MA passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 4,2022 at his residence with his family at his side.
He was born in Cambridge, MA February 5, 1958 the son of David and Claire (Banville) Stinson . He was raised in Cambridge and had also lived in Maynard and Brockton MA for many years before moving to Fitchburg in 2014.
David worked in the trucking industry for R&L Company, Perry Packaging and Cumberland Farms. He enjoyed his time with his family and had a passion for wood working. He served in The U.S. Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Laurie (Fleming) Stinson, together they had a saying for them “ You and me babe” together, they could get it done. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Dorothy Fleming, sister-in-law Susan Fleming of Laconia NH, a brother –in-law Robert Fleming and his wife Sally his step-children, who he loved as if they were his own, Phillip King of Whitman, MA, Michael King Sr. and his wife Andrea of Pepperell, MA, his sister Cathy Franzini ,his niece Lisa Franzini, his daughter Athena Stinson, 3 grandchildren , David King, Madelyn King and Michael King Jr. and his great friend, Ralph Carpenter.
His family would like to extend a heart felt thank you the wonderful care given to him by the nurses from Beacon Hospice of Leominster, MA.
There are no planned services at this time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Beacon Hospice, 36 Williams St. Leominster, MA 01453.
