Denise Marie Boudreau (LeBlanc) LEOMINSTER/DERRY –
Denise Marie Boudreau, 74, a woman of quiet strength and creative spirit, passed away on February 13 following a brief and challenging illness. Denise made the courageous and peaceful decision to enter into rest on her own terms, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born and raised in Leominster, Denise was the daughter of the late Eric and Doris (DeLisle) LeBlanc. A 1970 graduate of St. Bernard’s High School, she spent her professional years as an administrative assistant, but her heart was always in her home and her art. A gifted crafter, she was known for her hand-painted ceramics and the intricate, heirloom veils she meticulously created for family milestones.
Her nurturing, family-centered spirit was evident throughout the 80’s and 90’s summer long camping trips shared with her brother, Donald, and her soul-sister, Beverly LeBlanc. For years, they raised their children as a single unit under the stars. These years forged a deep bond allowing Denise's niece, Elizabeth McGee (LeBlanc), to grow up more as a third child than a niece—a sibling bond that lasted a lifetime.
In her final years, Denise found great comfort and joy in the bustling household she shared with Erica, Erica’s partner Travis Cousino, and her granddaughters. She remained at the very center of their daily lives, where her most recent "art studio" was a table covered in paint supplies. There, she spent her days creating masterpieces and memories with her granddaughters, Meredith and Makayla Theriault.
Denise’s life was a testament to the depth of a mother’s love. Though she was profoundly changed by the losses of her husband, Gerard (1996), and her son, Todd—a heartbreak she carried every day—she remained a steadfast, loving anchor for her granddaughters. They were her world from the day they were born until her final hours.
Denise is survived by her devoted daughter, Erica Boudreau, and Erica’s partner, Travis Cousino, of Derry, NH; and granddaughters, Meredith and Makayla Theriault. She also leaves behind her brother, Donald; her beloved sister-in-law, Beverly LeBlanc; and a loving extended family of nieces and nephews across three generations, each of whom she was proud to watch grow.
