Dennis Richard Harrington

Dennis Richard Harrington passed away on December 30,2020 while a patient in the V A hospital in Orlando, Florida.

Dennis was the son of the late Richard and Bertha (Joki) Harrington. Dennis was a graduate of the former Ashby High School. He proudly served in the U.S Air Force. He worked at Burbank Hospital, was a barber, and retired from a long career with American Airlines in Washington DC .

He was very proud of his Finnish heritage and served as Vice President of Finlandia Foundation of Washington DC. He enjoyed hosting several foreign exchange students.

When he retired in 1985, he moved to Florida. He spent six months of the year in Finland. There he often traveled through Europe with a group of folk dancers.

He is survived by his close friends, Ken and Gladys Finley, many friends and several cousins locally.

Dennis enjoyed folk dancing. In memory of him, smile and dare to dance. No doubt that he danced upon rejoining his beloved parents.

He will be Interred privately in Ashby West Cemetery next to his parents later in the Spring. There were no calling hours or services at his request.
