Dolores Wright-Asselin Obituary

Dolores “Dolly "Wright -Asselin of Princeton formerly from Ashby passed away at Rose Monahan Hospice Home on November 15, 2024. Born March 19, 1939 to Charles and Sylvia Bianchiani  of  Fitchburg MA.  

Dolly was the long-time treasurer of Ashby MA, testing administrator for the MA Vocational teacher testing program at Fitchburg State College, legislative aide to state Senator Mary Padula and program manager at Dept of Corrections Shirley MA retiring in 1998. 

Dolly was a vibrant person who loved her family and life. Dolly loved searching for and collecting antiques, she would be so excited when she found a new old treasure. She was an avid skier and former ski patroller and instructor. She enjoyed the beach and boating on Moosehead Lake also loved entertaining and traveling the world with her husband Dennis and tending to her gardens. She cherished her time with her grandchildren Cordell and Dylan.  

Dolly leaves behind her loving husband Dennis Asselin of Princeton, her son Wade Wright and daughter in law Brenda LaBelle Wright of Rindge NH, her sister Patricia Smith of Lake Worth Fl, Grandchildren Cordell Wright of Grafton, NH and Dylan Wright of Orchard, WA. Nieces Holly Moffett and her husband Mark of Lake Worth, Fla. Lisa Medina and her husband Richard of High Rolls, NM and Tina Baille of Alamogordo, NM. Dolly’s other son Todd predeceased her in 1999 after a tragic accident. Dolly will be greatly missed by all that knew her. 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024 @ 10a.m. in Prince of Peace Church, 1 Worcester Rd. Princeton, MA. Inurnment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Ashby, MA.  All relatives and friends are welcome to attend. There are no calling hours. The Lavery Chartrand Alario Funeral Home 99 Summer St. Fitchburg, MA is directing.
