Donald C. Nielsen

Don Nielsen, 69, of Ashby ma died on 1/27/2024, after a long battle with his health. He was born in Portland ME on 10/22/1955 to Mary Conley and Warren Nielsen. He was predeceased by his wife Lorraine Barrette-Nielsen in December of 2020. He leaves behind his son, Brian Nielsen of Fitchburg. Don worked as a packaging manager for Milipore Entegris. He was a diehard Yankees fan and a beloved umpire for little league baseball for many years. Calling hours and Services will be held Saturday Feb 1,2025 at Lavery-Chartrand Alario Funeral Home  99 Summer St,  Fitchburg, MA from 10a.m. until 12 noon.  All are welcome to attend. Graveside Services and a celebration of life will  be held at a later date to be announced.
