Donna Maria Brasili of Fitchburg passed away peacefully on Monday January 8th, 2024. Donna was the daughter of the late Joseph E. Brasili and Florence (Mellett) Easton. Devoted daughter, sister, Auntie, and friend. Donna was a 1969 graduate of Fitchburg High School. Following graduation, Donna attended John Robert Powers earning her degree in cosmetology. In the 70's Donna managed several clothing boutiques in Boston's Beacon Hill. Donna grew tired of Boston and decided to pursue a different pace in Savannah, Ga. When she first arrived, she'd help to run her Uncle Alfred's restaurant business, but soon missed her field of cosmetology. Donna accepted a position with Revlon and quickly climbed the ladder becoming th Southeast regional manager, headlining many major retail accounts and training staff. Donna returned to MA in the late 80's to care for her Nonna Elvira Brasili. However, after her Nonnas passing, she returned to Savannah once again to care for her beloved cousin Anthony Brasili until his death in 1992. She returned to Ma, and later became involved with make-up artistry for the Masciarelli Funeral homes. She also helped coordinate funerals and was part of the redesigning of these homes. After many years, Donna's health took a turn and she retired due to lung disease. Donna had a love and zest for anything Italian. She was an amazing cook, and baker. She had a love for sports, especially football. She was a caretaker, a people pleaser, a devout catholic. Donna was preceded by her father Joseph in 2006, and her mother Florence in 2019. Donna is survived by her dedicated and loving siblings; a sister Debra (Brasili) McDermott and her husband Daniel McDermott of Fitchburg, and a brother Joseph A. Brasili of Leominster. Her one and only niece and God daughter Natalie McDermott and her fiancé Shawn Dees. Most importantly she leaves behind the loves of her life, Natalie and Shawn's children, Shyenne "Sugie" Dees, Gianna "sunflower" Dees and Kade "sport" Dees. She also leaves behind her Aunt Carol Hauck in CA, and Uncle Michael Mellett of NYC, and several cousins and friends whom she loved dearly in MA, GA, NH, and PA. Donna will make a return trip to her beloved "Lady of the South " Savannah, Ga where she will rest in eternal peace.
