                                              Obituary Notice

              Fitchburg:  Elaine M. Cardinal, mother and sister, 62 of Fitchburg , MA passed away  peacefully in UMass Hospital, Worcester, MA with her family at her side ,on April 22,2025.  

She was born in Fitchburg, MA  on July 22,1962, the daughter of Armand P. Cardinal and Mary E. “Millie” (Leger) Cardinal and lived in Fitchburg all of her life.

She attended and graduated from Fitchburg High School Class of 1980 .

Elaine loved to play cribbage and pitch and was an avid NASCAR fan. She also enjoyed camping.

She is survived by her son, Dennis A.Tardiff of Fitchburg, MA, her sister Deborah A. Folmer of Fitchburg, MA, her brother and sister-in-law, Robert J. and Barbara Cardinal of Hinesville, Georgia. She also leaves behind two goddaughters, Julie Folmer of Templeton, MA and Melinda Valadez of Leominster, MA, and her son’s father, Phillip Tardiff of Tennessee.

Services for Elaine are as follows, A funeral home service will be held on Tuesday, July 22,2025 @ 11a.m. Friends and relatives are welcome for visitation beginning  at 10a.m. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery and all are welcome to attend the services
