Elfriede T Legendre

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and Oma, Elfriede Legendre, who passed away peacefully on January 19.

Born in Mindelheim, Germany, on November 2, 1930, Elfriede took great pride in her flower gardens and cherished her time outdoors, especially swimming and her daily walks. Throughout her life, she deeply loved and cared for her many pets.

Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and cooking traditional German meals for them. She traveled back to her homeland often, a place she missed dearly and which will serve as her final resting place.

She is survived by her two daughters, Robin Legendre and Carol Leet (Jon); her grandson, Jason Jollimore (Julie); and her great-grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan, Cooper and Avery Jollimore. Hansel and two special nephews in Munich, Stefan and Andreas Welte.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ahimsa Haven for Animals or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

A Funeral Mass for Elfriede will be held on Thursday, January 29,2026 @ 10a.m. in St. Joseph's Church 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg, MA  All are welcome to attend
