LAVERY CHARTRAND ALARIO FUNERAL HOME 99 SUMMER ST. FITCHBURG, MA Obituary New Ipswich, NH : Elisabeth “Liz” Mancuso (Troest), 75 passed away unexpectedly on April 9,2022 in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua, N H . She had spent 2 months in Darthmouth –Hitchcock Hospital and 3 weeks of physical therapy. She was excited to be coming home when tragedy struck. She passed away 3 hours later in St. Joseph’s Hospital with her husband Tony at her side. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Anthony S. “Tony” Mancuso, her son Anthony J. Mancuso and his wife Michelle of Fitchburg, MA, two granddaughters, Sabrina and Briana, three great grandchildren, Micah Rose, Ariana, and Maverick. She was predeceased by her parents, Kurt and Inger (Pedersen) Troest, two brothers, Sven Troest, and Peter Troest. Liz was a kind hearted person who loved animals and had a little pet for company. She , Tony, and their son moved to Florida in 1972 to join the relocated Mancuso family in Boynton Beach. Not liking the climate, they moved back and built a home in Hubbardston, MA . Upon her retirement in 2006 from Central Mass Oral Surgery where she had been a dental assistant for more than 30 years, she and her family moved to New Ipswich, NH. They loved the fresh air and freedom. In the mornings you would find Liz out on her deck with coffee, feeding her little bird friends. She would be out again in the afternoon enjoying the cool breezes from the pond , and shade from the maple trees, and cup of coffee mysteriously turned into a glass of Pinot Noir. This was truly her “Valhalla”. This is where she wanted to spend the rest of her life. Liz also loved sports cars, traveling with Tony, dining out and taking trips to Denmark. Tony said, “I don’t think you could find a better wife on this planet”. The best days are over now that she has passed. The luckiest day of my life was not at the race track, it was the day I married Liz. Rest in Peace pretty lady.
