Fitchburg: Frances C. (Quintal) Cutting, 84 of Fitchburg, MA passed away peacefully in Health Alliance-Leominster Hospital on Sunday, May 26,2024.
Frances was born in Fitchburg, MA on May 10,1940 the daughter of the late Omer P. Quintal and Mary Ann (Frechette) Quintal, step-mother Edith (Nichols) Quintal. She was raised in Fitchburg and lived here all of her life. She attended and graduated from St. Bernard’s Central Catholic High School , Class of 1958 .
She worked at the former Worcester North Bank and also worked 18 years at Fitchburg Gas& Electric Co. (now Unitil) as an administrative assistant until her retirement.
Her sense of humor carried her throughout her life, and people loved to be around her. She loved her bird feeders, always looking for cardinals, her flower garden and her drives to the beach. You’d find her in line for ice cream any chance she would get. She will leave and unfillable hole in our hearts.
She was a devoted member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Fitchburg, MA
She is survived by her children, Jameson White, Kimberly and her husband David Secino, Kristen and husband Gary Maille, and Kandis White-DeCarlo, her grandchildren, Parker and wife Justine Woods, Haley Woods, Alessandro Secino, and Vincent DeCarlo, step-children, Bob and wife Dory Cutting, Ernie and wife Nadine Cutting, Patricia Harvey, and many step-grandchildren along with the special Quintal girls, many nieces and nephews, and her life long best friend, Jan Fickett. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Cutting in 2017, brothers, Albert Quintal, and Marcel Quintal, and step-son, Kenny Cutting.
Service will be held on June 28, 2024 at Emanuel Lutheran Church , 1200 John Fitch Highway , Fitchburg, MA @ 11a.m. All relatives and friends are welcome to attend. Burial will be private and there are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Emanuel Lutheran Church.
