Francis P. Bray

Fitchburg: Francis P. Bray , 92 of Fitchburg, MA passed away peacefully at his residence on April 29,2022 with his family at his side.

He was born in Fitchburg, MA July 21,1929 the son of Ernest and Clara (Belliveau) Bray and lived all of his life in Fitchburg.

Francis attended school in Fitchburg and then enlisted in the U.S Navy and served in the Korean War. He worked for the former Falulah Paper Co. in Fitchburg, MA for twenty-four years and then went on to work for Aubuchon Hardware for twenty years, retiring in 1992. He was a life member of the South Fitchburg Social Club, enjoyed playing golf, bowling , poker with his friends and going to Foxwoods Casino. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church.

He is survived by his children, Gary F. Bray and wife Sandra of Fitchburg, MA, Steven E. Bray of Rindge, NH, and Michael A. Bray of Fitchburg, MA, one sister Lorraine Aubuchon of Fitchburg, MA, two grandchildren, Scott Bray and Carli Bray, seven great grandchildren, Sage and Lilly Bray, Sadie Huges, Luke, Olive, Averie, and Hannah. He was predeceased by his wife Janet (Doherty) Bray in 2004, and his brothers Richard and Bernard Bray.

A service for Francis will be held on Saturday, May 7,2022 at 12 noon in the Pieta Chapel @ St. Joseph Cemetery, 486 Clarendon St. Fitchburg. All friends and relatives are welcome to attend. There are no calling hours.
