Obituary
Danvers : Generia M.L. (Croteau) Urato, 95 of Danvers, MA passed away on Monday September 12,2022 at the nursing facility New England Home for the Deaf.
Jenny was born in Fitchburg, MA on May 14,1927 the daughter of Albert Croteau and Rose Robillard.
Jenny graduated from the Clark School for the Deaf. She began working as a seamstress at Fluet’s in Leominster, MA and then at Asher Pant’s Co. until her retirement in 1981. She was a valued and respected member of the Deaf community. She held positions in the local and national organizations within the Deaf community, from secretary to president. She was very active with the National Fraternity Society for the Deaf, Worcester Division and the Deaf Senior’s locally and nationally.
Jenny loved her crafts, always creating something for herself but usually to give away to friends and family. She loved her family very much.
She leaves behind her son John Urato and his wife Patricia, her grandchild Catherine Perron and her husband Michael Perron, her great grandchildren, Mia and Ryan Perron, her brother Harvey Croteau and his wife Lucille, sisters Theresa Vaillancourt, Irene Mathon, and Alberta Hebert and her husband Carl Hebert. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss her and love her dearly. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Urato in 1987, and her brothers Albert and Francis Croteau
Mom, I love you and I miss you. Thank you for my life, and all the surprises that come with it. Thank you for teaching me how to love unconditionally and your great wisdom, when my clothes are getting a little tight, blame the dryer.
Services for Jenny will be held at a later date in November and will be announced. There were no calling hours
