Ida Kymalainen, a lifelong Fitchburg resident, passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends. She is survived by her loving companion, Richard; her children, Ronald Crowley and Jill Langdon; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and her extended stepfamily. Also her sisters, Lila Stewart of Marlborough, CT, Joan Salamone and her husband Philip of Malden, Joyce Lyman and her husband David of New Salem, Doris Long of Swampscott, and predeceased by Helen Miller of Aiken, SC. Ida enjoyed traveling, gardening, crafting, and creating lasting memories with family and her many friends. She took great pride in sharing her Finnish heritage, traditions, and values with her children and their families ensuring those family roots would continue for generations. Ida's warmth, wisdom, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her Funeral will be held from the Lavery, Chartrand Alario Funeral Home 99 Summer St. in Fitchburg. Calling hours Saturday, June 20th from 10am to 11:30 am with Mass at 12 noon at St. Bernard Parish @ St. Camillus Church 333 Mechanic St.. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery
