Irene L. (Robert) Brogna

Irene L Brogna                        May 12, 1931 – July 4, 2025

Heaven has gained the most beautiful, elegant angel. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Irene L Brogna.

Born May 12, 1931 in Worcester, MA to Paul H Robert and Aldea (Chenette) Robert.  Losing her dad at a very young age her mother later married Roland C Robert, who then adopted her and her sister, Pauline (Robert) TirronenFeb 17, 1943.

Her family then moved from Worcester to Fitchburg, where a few years later she met and married the love of her life, Fiore Brogna.  They were married on Sept 22, 1951. Their love produced four children, David Paul, Cheryl Ann, Fiore Randal & Karen Marie.  Building their family home in Fitchburg they met their lifelong friends, Joseph (Nel) & Phyllis LeBlanc with whom they traveled and shared many years of fun, love and laughter.  The LeBlanc’s bore a son Christopher who joined the Brogna ‘kids’ gang.

Along the way Fiore & Irene acquired Ritter for Flowers on Main Street, Fitchburg, MA where they worked side by side for over 50 years.  After the passing of their eldest son, David in 2013 and then Fiore’s passing in 2015, the iconic Ritters closed.

Constantly surrounded by her children, family and friends she lived out her life in an abundance of love and happiness.

She is survived by her children Cheryl Ann Brogna (husband Michael Sigismondo),Fiore Randal Brogna (girlfriend Lisa Dilorenzo), Karen Marie Brogna and daughter in law Debra M Brogna.

Grandchildren: Maria, Davey& Anthony Brogna, Scott McSheehy, Chrystal Brogna, Ian Shorts, Devin Blood, Corey Brogna, Chantelle Glavin and Ashyana Hall.

Great Grandchildren: Donnovan, Adalina, Max, Gena, Azsalise, Olivia, DeVensio, Aramantha, Mia, Lincoln, Mason, Remy & Avon

New Great Great Grandchild: Kamden

Nieces & Nephews:  Rhonda & Cindy – Joey, Kevin, Paul & JJ

Predeceased by Husband: Fiore Brogna, Son: David Paul Brogna and Sister: Pauline Tirronen

Please join us for a celebratory Mass Saturday July 12, 2025 11:00 am St Joseph’s Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg, MA.followed by Interment in St. Bernard Cemetery
