                                              Obituary Notice

         Lunenburg: James G. Desjardins of Lunenburg, MA passed away on Monday ,April 1,2024 at his residence.

He was born in Fitchburg, MA the son of Philip and Eva (LeBlanc) Desjardins.

Jim was a graduate of Monty Tech Class of 1973. He learned the love for his trade from his Dad, working at Phil’s Garage in Lunenburg, where he became quite skilled as a mechanic.

Jim worked as a mechanic at Aubuchon Hardware Co. , repairing trucks. Later, Jim opened and owned his own trucking company. Most recently Jime drove truck for Einsteins Solutions.

Jim truly loved meticulously restoring classic cars. Jim was sincere, to the point and a very genuine person. He loved  his trips to Hampton Beach with his brother Steve, sharing stories with him about life and work. Family gatherings were most important to Jim, as well as taking his nephew for rides in his truck in Jim’s younger days.

Jim is survived by his loving brother Steve and his wife Jane Desjardins, his niece, Amy Davis, his nephew Chris and his wife Heather, his great-niece, and 3 great-nephews as well as many cherished cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Philip Desjardins in 2009 and Eva (LeBlanc) Desjardins in 2022.

Jim will be deeply missed.

Calling hours for Jim will be held on Friday morning, April 19,2024  from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass @ 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church ,49 Woodland St. Fitchburg, MA. Inurnment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery following the Mass. All relatives and friends are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jim’s memory to St. Joseph’s Church, 49 Woodland St. Fitchburg, MA 01420.
