Jane M. (BENTON) MALOUIN

Fitchburg:  Jane M. (Benton) Malouin, 84 of Fitchburg passed away peacefully in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital with her family at her side.

Jane was born March 10,1939 in Leominster, MA the daughter of Lester and Lydia (Malley) Benton and l was raised in Leominster.. She graduated from St. Leo's  School  in 1953 and went on to graduate from St. Bernard's Central Catholic High School in 1957.

  She worked several years at the former Merchant's National Bank Leominster, MA and for the former Berkey's Photo in Fitchburg, MA as a bookkeeper and retired several years ago. From 2014 onward, she carried on courageously after the passing of her beloved husband of 50 years, Rene J. Malouin in 2014. 

She was an avid reader and was a faithful fan of Jeopardy and of many other quiz shows. Jumble puzzles were part of her morning routine. Her passing came after a short illness. Her family would like to thank the staff of Leominster Hospital for its professional and compassionate care.

She leaves her siblings, William Benton of Leominster, MA, Phyllis Gagnon of Leominster, MA. Barbara Hallen of Holden, MA margaret Clark of Greenfield Center, New York and Susan Rocca of Leominster, MA.

She was predeceased by brothers Rev. Wayne Benton and Paul Benton.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday @ 11a.m. in St. Leo's Church 128 Main St.,Leominster, MA. Private Burial will be in Massachusetts Veteran's Cemetery Winchendon. 

A calling hour will be held on Thursday at the funeral home  from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
