Fitchburg:  Jeannette A. (Moussette) Bernard, 90 of Fitchburg, MA, passed away peacefully Sunday evening March 13,2022 in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital with her family at her side.

She was born in Fitchburg, MA January 10,1932,  the daughter of Joseph and Aurore (Tessier) Moussette and was raised in Northbridge, MA. She attended school in Northbridge and was a graduate of Northbridge High School. She then went on to attend and graduate from Mount Wachusett Community College. She came to live in Fitchburg when she married her late husband of 63 years, Romeo H. Bernard who passed away in 2018.Jeannette was a Den Mother, a Home Health Aide, a former employee of K-Mart, and the Highlands as an Assistant Activity Director of the Adult Day Care Services.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and was very active in her parish. She was a Eucharistic Minister, Founder and Director of the Senior Group on Tuesdays for many years, a member of the Ladies Guild, St. Vincent De Paul Society and a volunteer at the St. Francis Food Pantry. She also was a volunteer at Our Fathers Table in Fitchburg. She loved gardening, reading, making picture puzzles, and watching the Red Sox and Patriots.

She is survived by her son, John Bernard ,two daughters, Mary Jean, and Michelle Agnitti and her husband Ronald, six grandchildren ,four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 In lieu of flowers,  you may make a donation in her memory to : St. Francis of Assisi Church, St. Vincent De Paul Society or Our Father’s Table .

A Funeral Mass for Jeannette will be held on Thursday March 24,2022 @ 10a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 81 Sheridan St. Fitchburg, MA. Burial will be in Masschusetts Veterans Cemetery 111 Glen Allen St. Winchendon , MA @ 1p.m. there are no calling hours.
