                                             OBITUARY  NOTICE

Townsend:  Joseph  R.P. Gagnon 92 of  West Townsend, MA passed away peacefully on July 4,2020 in Fitchburg Healthcare.

Joe  was predeceased by his wife , Mary E. (Cormier) Gagnon in 2010.  He is survived by his sister, Yvette Landry and brother David Gagnon, close friends, and caregivers for many years, Frank and Mary Selinga of Fitchburg. He was born in Fitchburg, MA, son of Zenon Gagnon and Agnes (Hunt) Gagnon. He graduated from Fitchburg High School Class of 1946. Joe was a salesman for the former Tri-Sum Potato Chip Co. in Leominster,MA and also worked at the former General Electric Co. in Fitchburg, MA from which he retired. He served in U.S.Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1952.

 Interment was on Wednesday July 15,2020 @  10a.m. in St. Bernard’s Cemetery with Military Honors There were  no calling hours.
