Margaret Anna (Bulfinch) Guillemette, 76, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025 in Leominster, MA. Affectionately known to her friends and family as Maggie. She was born on July 30, 1949, in Winchester, MA. Margaret lived a life filled with dedication and love for her family and friends.
She was a fiercely strong woman in everything she did, from her thoughts and values, to her love of her kids, their spouses, and her grandkids. Maggie was a twenty year cancer survivor, where she overcame an intense battle with Non-Hodgekin lymphoma, with the desire to see all of her grandchildren whom she adored graduate from high school and become young adults. She was able to accomplish this and we take great comfort in knowing her heart was full.
Margaret graduated from Wakefield High School in 1967. She spent several years working as an activities coordinator at Fairlawn and Keystone nursing homes in Leominster, bringing joy and engagement to the residents she served. She would later go on to work at Leominster Hospital as an Admitting Officer until her retirement.
Margaret is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Christine Fahey and Amy Godin; her son, Jason Guillemette; her sons-in-law, Russell Fahey and Kevin Godin; and her daughter-in-law, Angela Guillemette. She was a proud grandmother to six grandsons—Michael, Steven, Brandon, Robert, Jacob, and Andrew—and two granddaughters, Kathleen and Alexandra. Margaret also leaves behind two brothers, Charles and Henry Bulfinch, and a half-sister, Patricia Toth. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Ann St. Clair and Barbara Matteson; her brother, Donald Bulfinch; and her former husband, Robert Guillemette. In addition, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Margaret cherished going to the beach, painting/drawing, spending time with her grandchildren and being their biggest supporter. She was at every football game, karate belt testing, taekwondo tournament, hockey game, soccer game, gymnastic show, and dance recital. Maggie and her brother Henry were always up to shenanigans in their younger days. The two remained inseparable throughout life. Sometimes she’d call him to simply ask “what are you having for lunch?”
A Celebration of Life will be held in the future, date and time to be shared at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any gifts or donations be sent to the Donald P. Bulfinch Fund. Margaret was a passionate supporter of this scholarship in remembrance of her brother.
