Morin 82, of Leominster,MA and a former resident of Fitchburg, MA passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3,2022 in Leominster Crossings surrounded by her family and caregivers. Marie was born December 8, 1939 in Fitchburg, MA, the daughter of the late Joseph R. Morin, Sr. and Mary Louise (Barron) Morin.She lived most of her life in Fitchburg, MA and was a graduate of St. Bernard’s Central Catholic High School. After her graduation, Marie worked at Carrington’s Paper Company for many years and was also the bookkeeper for the Joanette’s Drum and Bugle Corps. After her time with Carrington’s Paper, Marie went to work in data entry for the IRS until she left there to become the full time caregiver for her parents. Marie was a very active member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Ladies Guild, and volunteered at the church bingo and many other church affairs. She highly enjoyed collectingdolls, blown glass,Longaberger Baskets, but her true passion was cats. She is survived by her five nieces, Carol Tolman and husband Scot of Spofford, NH, Julie Connor of Worcester, MA, Susan Barnier and husband Gary of Westminster, MA, Betty Jacques and husband Kevin of Athol, MA and Sally Morin of Fitchburg, MA. She was predeceased by her parents both in 1997, her brother Joseph R. Morin, Jr. in 2013, and her sister-in-law, Nancy (Kokoska) Morin in 2021. Her services are as follows: A Funeral Home service is on Saturday, April 9,2022 @ 11a.m. A calling hour will precede the service from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery. All friends and relatives are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to: St. Francis of Assisi Church Food Bank, 81 Sheridan St., Fitchburg, MA 01420.
