                                   Obituary Notice

Fitchburg:  Mary Ann E. (Barbaro)Michaelian, 87 of Fitchburg, MA passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 1,2024 in River Terrace Health Care in Lancaster, MA with her family and close friends at her side.

She was born in Fitchburg, MA, February 9,1937 the daughter of Rose (Bellio) Barbaro and Antonio Barbaro. She lived all of her life in Fitchburg, MA.

Mary Ann was a graduate of St. Bernard’s Central Catholic High School Class of 1955. She went on to work for the former Foster Grant Sunglass Co. in Leominster, MA in the payroll department for 50 years before her retirement.

She was an active member of the Serra Club and the Cristoforo Columbo - Regina Elena Lodge of Fitchburg, MA. She was an active parishioner at St. Anthony of Padua Church, and served as a Eucharistic Minister at Mass and to the homebound. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Bolz, and son, Peter Michaelian, her grandson, Peter Michaelian and his wife Louena of Leicester,MA,her great grandsons, Nicholas Peter, and Andrew Joseph of Leicester, MA, her sister-in-law, Barbara Davis and her husband Paul of Worcester, MA and several nieces and nephews including Tina Barbaro Polis of California, many close friends and parishioners at St. Anthony of Padua Church (her Village).  Mary Ann’s husband, Peter A. Michaelian, passed away in 2001, her sister-in-law June Jardarian passed away in 2019, and her brother-in-law Michael Jardarian passed away in 2006 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 7,2024 in St. Anthony Of Padua Church, 84 Salem St. Fitchburg, MA @ 11a.m. followed by Interment in St. Bernard Cemetery. All friends and relatives are welcome to attend.

Calling hours are Friday, September 6, 2024 at the funeral home from 4 until 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Anthony Of Padua Church.
