Boston:  Michael J. Mercier 46 of Boston, MA and formerly of Fitchburg, MA passed away in his home on Tuesday , February 16, 2021, after an illness.

Mike was born May 16, 1974 in Fitchburg, MA, son of Patricia A. (Plucker) Mercier and the late Ronald R. Mercier. He was a 1992 graduate of Fitchburg High School and later attendee East Coast Aero Tech and used his skill as a technician.

Mike had a creative mind and strong connection to the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time strumming a guitar by the campfire with his family, friends and his furry companion, “Lady Bug”. He spent many summers in the garden growing veggies. And every time the Bruins were on, he was definitely listening or watching. More recently he started acquiring a large collection of flags from around the world.

Mike is survived by his daughter who held such a special place in his heart, Michelle Mercier, siblings, Pamela J. Curbelo and husband, R. Hugo Curbelo, James Mercier and wife Lisa (Elliott) Mercier, Karyn J. Madden and husband Kevin Madden, and nieces Nicole Curbelo, Alyssa Madden, Emma Madden, and nephews Mitchell Curbelo and Spencer Curbelo, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Interment will be private.  There are no calling hours.
