Obituary

Fitchburg- Michael J. O'Connor of Fitchburg, passed away Saturday April 22nd, surrounded by his wife and daughters. Mike was born in Waltham MA. and resided in Wellesley Ma during his youth. Mike was a respected teacher in English in the Marlborough Public Schools (Middle/HS) until he retired in 2000. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Karen (Kinley) O'Connor, his daughters, Heather O'Connor and Seana (O'Connor) Moran, son-in-law John Moran Jr., granddaughters Iris O'Connor, Kaileigh Valliere and Jillian Moran, his sister Nancy (O'Connor) Longo and brother-in-law Marty Longo, as well as many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 28th from 4 until 7pm in the Lavery Chartrand alario Funeral Home, 99 Summer St, Fitchburg, MA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mike's name to St. Jude's Hospital. This is an organization that was very close to Mike's heart. To celebrate Mike's love of sports, Patriots and Red Sox attire are welcomed during calling hours.
