Norman Fedders Obituary

Norman H. Fedders, 72, of Leominster passed away suddenly on December 30, 2018. He was born on October 7, 1946 in Sheldon, Iowa, the son of Dick and Gertrude Fedders. He was a graduate of Sheldon High School and Nettleton Business College in Souix Falls. He entered the United States Army during the Vietnam War in 1966 and was honorably discharged in 1968, after which he married and relocated to Leominster, MA . He was a graduate of Mount Wachusett Community College. His professional career was as a controller and tax accountant, for which he remained active until his passing.

In addition to being an Army veteran, Norman was a Boy Scout Leader, a member of the Girl Scouts, a member of Eagles 477, and the American Legion both in Leominster, MA.

Norman was well known as a family man, someone who would jump, without question, whenever a family or friend was in need. Norman also enjoyed bringing joy to others during the holiday seasons by serving as one of Santa’s Helpers. Anyone who knew Norman would appreciate his tremendous sense of humor, extreme love for dogs, Boston sports, and enjoyed spending time at the beach in Maine.

He will be greatly missed by his loving children; his daughter Theodora  J. “Teddi”and husband Marc Champa of Fitchburg; his son Derick P. and his wife Candace Fedders of Greenville, NH; his grandchildren Cassandra Schofield, Christina Clements-Pijanowski, Peter Fedders, Corrie Clements, Christopher Fedders, and Vincent Champa; his great-grandchildren Bailee Schofield, JezzebellFedders, and Dylan DeVoid; his siblings, Kenneth and Richard Fedders of Sioux Falls SD and Glenda Brislawn of Cedar Rapids , Iowa, nieces and nephews, and his dear friend, Bob Baker. Norman will be remembered for his sense of humor, his deep faith, and tender heart.

A funeral home service  for Norman will be held on Thursday evening @ 8p.m. Calling hours prior will be from 6 until 8p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be Friday @ 11a.m. in Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery- Winchendon, MA. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02210 or to the Gary Sinise Foundation for children of veterans, P.O. Box 368 Woodland hills, CA
