With heavy hearts, the Eyles family announce the passing of our beautiful, kind, caring, brave, loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Patricia May (Landry) Eyles, also known to many as Miss Patti. She was 87 years of age, born on December 21st, 1936, in Gardner Massachusetts passed away peacefully on May 1st, 2024, at UMass Worcester hospital with her beloved husband of 65 years Alfred Eyles and two daughters, Tammy Maxfield and Trudy Laperriere by her side with her favorite songs playing.
Alfred and Patricia were married October 18th, 1958 and purchased their first and only home in Fitchburg Massachusetts, where they raised their family. She took pride in her role as a wife and loving mother, and we were so fortunate to have her. Patricia was the epitome of beauty, elegance, grace, sparkle, and she had a rare gift of making everyone laugh around her and a special kind of magic that illuminated the lives of all who knew her.
Her jewelry was her signature style, and she was a fashionista. Patricia was always the life of any event that she attended or hosted. Her stories were endless, and we all enjoyed hearing them.
Patricia volunteered her time at the Center for Brain-InjuredChildren and at Saint Joseph’s grammar school, where both of her daughters attended. She was a brownie and girl scout leader, a beautiful piano player and a talented artist that painted gorgeous pictures. She also worked at the Fitchburg Music Store alongside her husband selling pianos and organs. They were the perfect dynamic duo in so many ways.
Her first love was always family. She enjoyed entertaining in their home in Fitchburg or at their summer camp at Woodbrook in Fitzwilliam N.H. Patricia loved spending time camping and at their cottage in York Beach Maine where many wonderful friendships and memories were made.
In their retirement years they became snowbirds and traveled to Myrtle Beach South Carolina and Port Charlotte Florida, making new friends, and enjoying entertainment at various Tiki bars.
She is survived by her loving husband Alfred Eyles, daughters Tammy and husband Dennis Maxfield, Trudy and husband Scott Laperriere. Grandchildren, Tanya Robichaud and partner Brent LaCapria, Dennis Maxfield II and Jacob LaFreniere. Great Grandchildren, Aidan Robichaud and Blake LaCapria. Siblings, Lorraine Ninno and Howard Landry and sister-in-law Fern Landry, sister-in-law Betty Maillet, many nieces and nephews and special friends.
Patricia is predeceased by her parents Edmond and Katherine Landry and sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws.
Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and timeless elegance that will forever be cherished. The family of Patricia Eyles would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and love that they have received during this difficult time. She will remain in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Patricia’s life and to share their memories.
