Fitchburg: Patricia M. (Baker) King Goguen 91, of Fitchburg, MA passed away peacefully on June 13,2021 in The Highlands.
She was the wife of Robert D. Goguen. Pat was born in Laconia , NH December 13,1929 the daughter of Lloyd and Deveda (Switzer) Baker. She was a graduate of Laconia High School, class of 1947. She attended Endicott Jr. College in Beverly, MA .
She served as Family Page Editor of Foster’s Daily Democrat in Dover, NH for four years and later was Family Page editor of the Sentinel & Enterprise for 37 years retiring in 1991.
Following her retirement, she became involved in volunteer activities at the former Faith United Parish including Our Father’s Closet for 15 years. She also served as Parish Council secretary at the church for 10 years. She also belonged to the Library Book club for several years.
Besides her husband she is survived by her daughter, Dr. Audrey J. Painchaud, two grandchildren, Olivia and Elise Painchaud , all living in Worcester, MA , a niece Erika DeGeorge of Saco, Maine, nephews Daniel and Stephen Latcovich of Pennsylvania, cousins, Atty Rodney Dyer and John Switzer both of Laconia, NH, Nancy Harbour of Utah, Brian Baker of Cape Cod, and David Baker of Vermont.
She was predeceased by her daughter Kimberly Patrice King of Fitchburg, MA in 2004, her brother Richard L. Baker of New York State, and her sister Beverly Latcovich of Laconia, NH.
Services for Pat are as follows; Calling hours at the funeral home are on Thursday June 24,2021 from 5 until 7p.m. A service will be held on Friday June 25,2021 at 10a.m. in Rollstone Congregational Church , 199 Main St. Fitchburg, MA . All friends and relatives are welcome to attend. A Private Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH . In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Hosptial, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
