Pauline A. (MARCOULIER) Demers

Born and raised in Fitchburg, MA, Pauline (Marcoulier) Demers, 81, was the heart and soul of her family. She spent 57 beautiful years married to Gene Demers and together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

She leaves behind her daughter Lynne, her son Jeff and his wife Damari, and her daughter Audrey and her husband John alongside her grandchildren Stephanie, Carrisa, Victoria, Evelyn, Sofia, Natalie, and Maximus, her great grandson David and her twin sister, Jackie Moison and her family, who were always close to her heart.

To most, she was “Grammi” or “GiGi” — titles she wore with pride. She cherished time in North Conway, where she hiked, skied, paddled down the Saco River, and cooked up big, delicious meals for her family after many days filled with adventure and play. She loved to travel, enjoyed reading a good book, to play a competitive game or two of cribbage or Sorry, and she loved to paint or clean, as her hands were always busy and brought her so much joy, cultivating amazing connections with others, that will be cherished forever.

Family was everything to Pauline, alongside her commitment to service, as she poured her heart into her work spending over 30 years in the medical field at Leominster Medical Associates, managing a busy practice with grace. She never called in sick — always putting others first, always showing up, and always doing her best.

Pauline had a warmth that made everyone feel at home. Her house was always spotless, her wit was sharp, and her love for her family was unwavering. She leaves behind a legacy of strength and happiness. She will be missed more than words can express.

Services will be held at Lavery Chartrand Alario Funeral Home located at 99 Summer St, Fitchburg, MA 01420 on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Calling hours 9:30-11am, followed by services led by Father Dario and family at 11am. 

In lieu of flowers please donate to Saint Vincent De Paul food pantry at Saint Joseph’s Church. A donation can be made via check made to Saint Vincent De Paul and mailed to 49 Woodland Street Fitchburg, MA 01420.
