Raymond L'Ecuyer Obituary

Lavery Chartrand  Alario Funeral Home   Obituary for Raymond L’Ecuyer

Raymond passed away peacefully in his home Sunday December 27th, after a lengthy brave battle with Alzheimer’s. Raymond was surrounded by his loving family, and holding the hand of his best friend and love of his life, his wife Pauline, who cared for him at home, and never left his side.

Raymond John L’Ecuyer was born on March 11th, 1938 to the late Sophie (Maki) L’Ecuyer and Raymond G L’Ecuyer. Raymond grew up in Fitchburg, Massachusetts where he attended Fitchburg public schools and graduated from Fitchburg High School class of 1956. Raymond went on to proudly and honorably serve his country in the United States Army. Raymond was a dedicated and hard worker his whole life, up until his retirement in 2011. Raymond was a dedicated and loving family man, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting him, knowing him, loving him.  Ray was always happy, always positive, always laughing, never had a bad word to say about anyone, could make a friend wherever he went, always lent a helping hand and a helping word, never wanted anything in return, and was as humble as they came. Raymond was one of the strongest and most selfless men, helping to raise his small village, all as his own, and changing their lives tremendously. He will be remembered for his infectious and hearty laughter, his unwavering love and loyalty, his playful spirit, his generosity, his selflessness, his quiet strength, his positivity, his magnetic energy, his Friday night pizzas, his iron strong grip, his silly faces, his deep love for his wife, children, and extended family, and so so much more.  Raymond leaves behind his loving wife of 42 years, Pauline (Perreault) L’Ecuyer, his sons Michael R Murray and his wife Christine Murray of Ashburnham Ma., Raymond P L’Ecuyer of Fitchburg Ma., Joseph M L’Ecuyer and his wife Joy L’Ecuyer of Fitchburg Ma., his daughters Melissa A Lowe and her husband Charles Lowe Sr, of Sterling Ma., Kristen M Panzarella and her husband Dominick Panzarella Jr. of Lunenburg Ma., Deborah Valliere and her husband Mark Valliere of Melbourne Fl., Lisa L L’Ecuyer of Fitchburg Ma., and several loving grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss their Papa dearly. Raymond was predeceased by his parents Sophie and Raymond of Fitchburg Ma., his brother Robert L’Ecuyer of Fitchburg Ma., his sister Patricia L’Ecuyer of Fitchburg Ma., and his son Kevin F Murray of Fitchburg Ma. Raymond was cut from the rarest of cloths and will forever be sorely missed. Thank you thank you thank you for EVERYTHING.
