Obituary for Richard W. Reynolds Jr.

Richard W. Reynolds Jr., 65, of Fitchburg, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday,September 1, 2025.

Born on October 21, 1959, in Fitchburg, he was the son of the late Richard W. Reynolds Sr. and Paulene Reynolds. Richard was a proud lifelong resident of the community and a loyal employee of P.J. Keating in Lunenburg for 35 years, from 1988 until his retirement in 2023. His hard work and dedication earned him the respect, admiration, and love of all who knew him.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Linda M. Reynolds, with whom he shared a marriage built on love and family until her passing in 2006. He leaves behind his daughters, Amanda Lindsay of Springfield, IL, and Stephanie Bartlett of Watertown MA, and his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Cloe, and Kyle of Springfield, IL. He is also survived by his sisters: Charlene Vaillette and her husband Gary of Winchendon, MA; Debra Stocking of Fitchburg, MA; and Kathy Reynolds of Fitchburg, MA; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will hold his memory close.

A man with a zest for life, Richard loved riding his motorcycle, attending music festivals and concerts, playing golf, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and, above all, spending time with his family. Family and friends were everything to Rich, and his presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 12, from 5:00–7:00 PM at Lavery, Chartrand, Alario Funeral Home in Fitchburg.
