Robert J. "Bob" Boutwell Sr.

Bob as he was known by, graduated from Fitchburg High in 1971. After school he had a lifelong career with Digital. After retirement he enjoyed working at Walmart along with playing Santa around the holidays. He loved a good Western movie starring John Wayne. He also had an avid love for puzzles. He spent his free time at the beach,walking the shores collecting rocks and shells. He also enjoyed fishing with family and was always up to eat a good lobster dinner.  Traditions he loved was watching of The Wizard of Oz with his daughter Michelle Boutwell Cormier. He enjoyed spending time with his son Robert J. Boutwell Jr as a father and a coach when he was younger . He loved nothing more than being a grandfather or Poppy to his grandchildren Kylee Cormier, Alyssa Cormier, Jacob Boutwell, and Sarah Boutwell. Along with all his nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephew as well. 

He was born October 8,1951 in Fitchburg, the son of the late Chester and Myrtle (Dwyer) Boutwell and had lived all of his life in Fitchburg. He is also survived by his sister Judith Provencher and her husband Steven. He was predeceased by his wife Kathy J. (Sheppard) Boutwell and his brother Chester "Skippy" Boutwell. 

Calling hours for Bob are Thursday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 20,2024 @ 9a.m. in St. Camillus Church/St. Bernard Parish, 333 Mechanic St. Fitchburg, MA All are welcome to attend. burial will be at a later date
