Westminster: Robert F. Mercier, 87 of Westminster, MA passed away  at his residence on Tuesday September 13,2022 after a brief illness.

Robert was born in Fitchburg, MA March 9,1936 the son of Herbert and Blanche( Gay) Mercier. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in both the Army from 1953 to 1956 and then in the Air Force from 1958 to 1962 and was honorably discharged. Bob had a 35 year career with AT&T and Verizon as a lineman. Robert was an enthusiast of the outdoors, automobiles and spending time with family. He had a love for animals, particularly his German Shepherd Max.

Robert is survived by his wife Virginia M. (Derosier) Mercier, his daughter Michele King and his son Robert Mercier. He also leaves his beloved nieces, nephews , grandchildren, and great grandchildren

Services for Robert will be held on Monday, September 19 at 11a.m. in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Cemetery 111 Glenallen St. Winchendon with full Military Honors. All friends and relatives are welcome to attend and should meet at the cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to K9’s for Warriors @ K9sforwarriors.org.
