Ronald F. Lynch

Gardner--- Ronald F. Lynch, 91 years of age died Monday, February 24, 2025, at home with his wife by his side.

Born in Waterbury, CT on January 4, 1934,

He was the son of Edward and Ann Lynch. In 1951 Ronald enlisted in the Navy traveling  many places during his 4 years of service. He was a rescue deep sea diver and a fireman.  In 1955, he married his love, Betty. 

He worked at various jobs after his honorable discharge from the Navy. Roofing, manufacturing and some carpentry. He found his perfect job at James River Paper mill starting as  spare worker, moving his way up to coating supervisor, retiring after 35 years. 

During his time at the mill, he had hobbies which were also actual jobs. He was a part-time Auxillary Police Officer from 1958-1973 for the Fitchburg Police Department. He also worked for the RJ Pauley Detective Agency. 

His last job was working for Archer Security, retiring at 82 years old. 

Ronald was an avid golfer, and some would say quite good at it. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Keeping active throughout his life he met many people. There was always someone he knew who would stop to chat. 

Ronald loved animals. His dog Murphy was always with him. And the many cats he and Betty adopted adored him. 

He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Edward Lynch and his sister Irene Owens and his niece Ann Marie Owens

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 69 years and 8 months; Betty (Ricker) Lynch.  His 3 children; Debra Formisani, Betty Lynch, and Edward Lynch. His 2 grand children; Matthew Lynch and Dillan Lynch. His great grand child Wesley Lynch. Nephews; Thomas Owens, Edward Owens and Joseph Owens.

At the request of Ronald, funeral services and burial will be private.
