                                             OBITUARY  NOTICE

Fitchburg:  Ronald J. Richard,  64 of Fitchburg, MA passed away peacefully November 21,2020 in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital with his family at his side.

Ron was born in Fitchburg, MA February 12, 1956 , the son of Raymond and Dorilla (Le Blanc) Richard and lived all of his life in Fitchburg. He attended and graduated from Fitchburg High School.

Ron worked over 40 years as a produce manager, the last 13 years at Donelan’s Market in Littleton, MA .  He was an avid sports fan of all the New England Teams. He enjoyed candlepin bowling and played many years of slow pitch softball in the Fitchburg Slow Pitch Leagues.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years Maria (Hampshire) Richard, his children, Michelle Thompson and fiancé Erik Houtman of Fitchburg, MA, Shawn J. Richard and wife Nicole of Fitchburg, MA, Robert R. Richard and fiancé Katie Boudreau of Fitchburg, MA, his brother Daniel D. Richard and wife Ellen of Ashburnham, MA and his sister Arlene Leblanc and her husband Ralph of Ashburnham, MA, four grandchildren, Ziah-Joshua, Savannah, Lilly and Isabelle, and two nephews, Ricky and Steven.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday December 15,2020 with a Mass  @ 10a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church 49 Woodland St. Fitchburg, MA followed by Inurnment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. All are welcome to attend. There are no calling hours.

All Covid-19 protocols are in effect at the church and at the cemetery. A face mask and social distancing is required to enter the church.
